Department of Mechanical Engineering is conducted one day State level technical seminar on “EMERGING OF NUCLEAR POWER IN ENERGY SECTOR” and Paper presentation on Artificial Intelligence, Fission and Fusion process and Radio activity by IE (I) Students’ Chapter of our college and kudankulam Nuclear Power Project KKNPP Kudankulam on 06.01.2020 in our college premises in a grand manner.
The event started with the lighting of kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries who presented on the day of the function.Welcome address was presented by Er.S.Chellappa IE(I) Students’ Chapter Advisor, HOD/ Mech Engineering, SPC, Sankar Nagar.
Dr G.Sankarsubaramanian Principal, Sankar Polytechnic College, Sankar Nagar Presented the Introductory Note on the Topic “EMERGING OF NUCLEAR POWER IN ENERGY SECTOR”
The Inaugural Session was addressed by Er S.Shanmugam Joint President(Mfg) India Cements Ltd, Sankar Nagar. He encouraged the Students to participate in IE(I) Students’ Chapter Activities to update Technological Information to meet the industrial needs.
We also Convey special thanks to KKNPP for the sponsoring of Rs.30,000 / to conduct this programme.

Library Club - Guest Lecture Programme

Library guest lecture programme on Library for Students was organised by library club on 29/08/2019. The programme started with Tamilthai Vazhthu sang by our students. V.Varun, III EEE welcomed the gathering. Mr.B.N.Venkataraman , Manager (A&A) honoured the Chief Guest Dr.G.Amudha, Librarian, V.H.N.S.N. College and released our College Magazine. Our Principal received the first copy of the Magazine. Dr.G.Sankarasubramanian, Principal delivered Presidential address. He explained his experiences on book reading and its importance. Felicitations have given by Manager and Mr.P.Madhavan, Lecturer, English. Manager Sir explained about the importance of reading books for increasing employment opportunities. English Sir shared the pleasure of reading books and how it increases the knowledge. Chief Guest was introduced by Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi, Librarian. Chief Guest encouraged the students to read and learn lot from experiences. Drama was scripted and acted by III & I Year Civil Students. Vote of Thanks was given by R.Raja, III Civil. With the National Anthem sang by our students, the programme came to an end.

National Voluntary Blood Donate day - 2019

Our polytechnic NSS units, health club and alumni (1974-1977) conducted a blood donation camp, free medical camp and eye camp in our college premises in association with Tirunelveli medical college on 06.07.2018 (Friday). Fifty eight units of blood were donated by our students. To Appreciate this Tirunelveli Medical College had honored our college with a Shield. Tirunelveli Medical College Dean Prof.S.M.Kannan Presented a shield and a certificate to our Principal Dr.G.Sankara Subramanian on 26th October 2019. Our NSS Officer Mr.D.Navilan also participated in the event..
