Mr. N. Srinivasan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of India Cements, has a long history of endorsing religious and charitable causes. We continue to be inspired by his visionary attempts to promote industry among his peers, his philanthropy, his patriotism, and his empathy for others. His career in the industry spans more than fifty years. Under the leadership of Mr. N. Srinivasan, the company has successfully navigated mergers and acquisitions as well as Brownfield and Greenfield expansion. Known as the mother plant of his dynasty, the ICL has grown to become the largest cement company in the South under his active leadership.


The company's remarkable progress and expansion over the past 20 years can be directly attributed to Mr. N. Srinivasan's vision, incisive market understanding, and active leadership. He served as Chennai's sheriff for two terms. For two periods (1996-1998), Mr. Srinivasan presided over the Chennai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. From 1996 to 2001, he participated actively in the Prime Minister's High Profile Council of Trade and Industry. Additionally, he served as Senior Vice President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and President of the All India Organization of Employers from 2000 to 2001. He was appointed to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD) for the third time by the Andhra Pradesh government in September 2019. He served on the board from 2004 to 2008. At present, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and also a Special Invitee to the General Committee of the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
In 2009 saw TIECON bestow a lifetime achievement award upon Mr. Srinivasan. In 2011, Tamil Nadu Physical Education & Sports University, Chennai, awarded him a "Degree of Doctor of Literature (Honoris Causa)." The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) was previously led by Rupa Gurunath, who held the position as the first female administrator. Additionally, she directs ICL's "Whole Time" program. The owner of the Chennai Super Kings Indian Premier League franchise, through Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd (CSKCL) holding company, India Cements Limited, is one of eight firms on which she serves on the board.
