DR. A. P. J. ABDUL KALAM SCIENCE EXPO CUM COMPETITION

We hosted the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Science Expo cum Competition for IX to XII students on January 9th and 10th, 2025. The event aimed to promote diploma courses among school students and provide a platform for showcasing innovative projects and experiments.

Inauguration and Participation
The expo was inaugurated by esteemed guests, including Shri. K. Shankar Kasi, Trustee, and Thiru. M. Sivakumar, Tirunelveli District CEO.

Over 2,500 students from 20 schools participated, exhibiting around 110 projects. Our judges selected the best projects, and winners received cash prizes and certificates.

Prizes and Recognition
A panel of experts selected the best projects, and the winning teams received cash prizes and certificates.

Prize Details
First Prize: ₹10,000 cash award and certificates

Second Prize: ₹5,000 cash award and certificates

Third Prize: ₹2,500 cash award and certificates

Consolation Prize: ₹1,000 cash award and certificates

All participants received certificates for their participation.

Awarding Ceremony
On the closing day, an awarding ceremony honored school students who designed efficient technical project models. Thiru. S. Arunachalam, retired Executive Engineer of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, was the chief guest. Our proud ex-students, Thiru. Manikandan, Thiru. Kandasamy, and Thiru. Manikumar, participated as special guests.

Felicitation
Principal Dr. A. Sankara Subramanian and Administrative Officer Thiru. R.V. Srinivasan felicitated the prize-winning students and presented them with certificates and cash prizes.

FDP under Naan Mudhalvan on Digital Skills.

A Faculty Development Program under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme titled 'Digital Skills for II Semester' was organized by Naan Mudhalvan and the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SPC, from 06.01.2025 to 11.01.2025. Along with the best wishes from our beloved Principal, Dr. A. Sankara Subramanian, and our administrative officer, Mr. R. V. Srinivasan, the session commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr. S. Sudha Ponnarasi, Lecturer/ECE and coordinator, welcomed the gathering. Mr. A. Nasir Ahmad, HoD/ECE, gave the felicitation address. Resource person, Mr. Vijay from Edunet, Chennai, provided training to all 52 faculties who came from four districts: Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari. At the end of the session, the participants provided feedback. Dr. S. Sudha Ponnarasi, Lecturer/ECE, delivered the vote of thanks. The arrangements were made by various individuals. The program ended with the National Anthem.
