Further strengthening our commitment to quality technical education, the NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) Local Chapter was officially established in April 2023. This initiative, in collaboration with IITs and IISc, enables our students and faculty to seamlessly access advanced, certified online courses, high-quality video lectures, and learning materials developed by the nation's premier institutions. The Local Chapter facilitates course registration, conducts orientation sessions, and tracks student progress, thereby actively promoting the integration of cutting-edge online learning into the college's academic ecosystem.

How to enroll (join) in a course:

Step 1 : Click on the below link to sign up for NPTEL https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/

Step 2: Click on Register

Step 3: Click on Sign up

Step 4: Give User Name

Step 5: Give Password

Step 6: Retype Password

Step 7: Give your email ID

Step 8: Click on send verification Code

Step 9: Check your mail and get a code & Type

Step 10: Click on Create

Step 12: Form will appear, Students need to fill up. Learners have to say YES to the question ‘Are you part of a Local Chapter’

Step 13: Choose Sankar Polytechnic College from the dropdown. This is very important; else the learner will not be tagged to our college

Step 14: Students choose the Profession as ‘Student’

Step 10: Submit

Use the same email id for enrolling to courses & exam registration. Assignments submitted through one mail id & exam registered through another mail id will not be accepted.
